Walt Disney is one of the oldest animation studios in the world that has long-awaited sequels, live-action remakes, and animated films in the release pipeline. It has never failed to capture our imaginations and make our dreams come true.
Movie Insiderz has created new Disney movies 2025 preview, including some films that are confirmed with their release dates. The studio is surely busy this year with fantastic movies being released.
Lilo and Stitch live-action
One of Disney’s most cherished childhood films is back — this time with a live-action twist. Disney has always been on its toes to bring out new live-action films every now and then.
The story is the same as that of the 2002 film. Lilo is a six-year-old raised by her elder sister Nani, who adopts an assumed dog Stitch, but he is an alien.
A clip was shared at CinemaCon this year about a story where things don’t go as smoothly as expected between Lilo and Stitch. The production wrapped in March 2024 in Hawaii, and Stitch is a CGI alien in the live-action remake.

Tron: Ares
The trailer of Tron: Ares has intrigued us a great deal, but what is it about? According to its official synopsis, the story revolves around a “highly sophisticated Program, Ares, that has come from a typical digital world”. The program is on a mission, certainly dangerous, and how the human world will cope with it would be an exciting watch.
The characters from the video games are set to enter the real world for the franchise’s next installment. It might appear a scientific story of some program invasion in human world, however, the director has other plans.
Joachim Ronning, the director, said,
“It’s been fantastic for my next endeavor to be a science fiction movie that takes place inside a computer…Emotions will always be something that I strive for, and this film will be more emotional.” [Source]
After 2020’s Tron: Legacy, where a boy accidentally enters the world of computers in search of his father and ends up finding his father corrupted, Tron: Ares will be a fresh new perspective, being an Earth-based film.
Bringing the neon lights to Earth gave us a visually appealing insight into the movies, making the film a highly anticipated release of the year.

Avatar: Fire and Ash (Avatar 3)
James Cameron is on the move for his next installment in the Avatar franchise, Avatar: Fire and Ash. The name itself is sentimental enough, and to add to its hype, Cameron has pulled out the big guns this time, ensuring that it will be an emotional rollercoaster.
His wife “bawled” for four hours, as per The Guardian, which is proof enough that James Cameron has done it again. It is anticipated that a good three hours are needed to dedicate for watching the film and the next four hours to dry our tears till we get over it.
The film is going to be three hours and 12 minutes long- the longest film in the franchise to date. The story inculcates the grief handling of Neteyam’s death by Jake and Neytiri’s family.
The Ash people, a new aggressive tribe, are unveiled in conflict with Pandora, expected to show us the escalation of enmity and moral focus.
