La Dolce Villa

With the rural setting as background, La Dolce Villa is about Eric (played by Scott Foley), a flourishing business and widower who travels to Italy to stop his daughter, Olivia (played by Maia Reficco) from spending uselessly. She wants to invest her money in the restoration of an old villa.

Though the villa stays part of the economic plan of the small town of Montezara where they sell abandoned heritage villas to entice young blood into their communities, the town’s mayor, Francesca (played by Violante Placido) devises a plan with Eric, later proving to be his love interest.

Aftermath 

The film is set in Boston on the Tobin Bridge, where heavily armed aggressors take over. In the combat are caught the ex-army ranger Eric (played by Dylan Sprouse) and his teen sister Maddie (played by Megan Stott).

Trial by Fire 

Based on the true story of the wrongful conviction of Cameron Todd Willingham (played by Jack O’Connell), the film digs deeper into the detailed happenings of the home fire in Texas in December 1991.

The story unfolds when Todd Willingham finds his home in Corsicana on fire. He is not able to save his three kids, a two-year-old daughter and one-year-old twins after which the local investigators accuse Willingham of a deliberate attempt at the fire. 

Todd’s lawyer, Bobby (played by Darren Pettie), helps him to set free of the capital murder charges and sets a strong defense against the prosecutor. However, the story takes a turn when the playwright, Elizabeth Gilbert (played by Laura Dern) helps to save Todd from the court’s conviction.

Back in Action
